DiskClue is built for local storage analysis. Scan results, file paths, filenames, file sizes, and scan history remain on the Mac in the current MVP.

No account or analytics SDK

The current app does not require an account and includes no analytics or crash-reporting SDK. It does not upload scan results to a backend.

Purposeful permissions

Home-folder scans skip known privacy-controlled libraries to avoid unexpected consent prompts. If you explicitly choose a protected folder, macOS may ask for access because the folder is outside the normal scan scope.

A careful next step

Use this guide to understand the storage you see, then make changes only after reviewing their purpose. DiskClue can help make the evidence easier to inspect in the current MVP.
